Broken World

This world is broken. Perhaps, irreconcilably so. People die for reasons long since forgotten; if they were ever truly known to begin with. Voids in lives are filled with objects forced into holes that they cannot fit. Everyone walks around waiting for something that they fear may not come. Yes, this world is broken and has been for some time now.

For those that see the fractured state of our lives, most are powerless to fix it. Some never would want a change, as they revel in and exploit the world from their detached vantage point. The improbability of someone seeing the world as it is and being of a position and desire to change it is staggering.

Yet, people persevere, perhaps hoping things will change; perhaps just numb to the woes of the world after being exposed for far too long. Or, maybe, this is how things will always be: The hand of man guiding too strongly the path of evolution and making wrong turns.

Zombie Do’s and Zombie Don’ts…

This post will start off on a personal note to inform anyone reading that I have recently moved to Flagstaff. You may be asking yourself what that has to do with anything; I will be extremely busy getting settled in here. As such, for the next few weeks there probably won’t be any type of post that I had originally planned to write due to time constraints. I do want to keep the consistency of the blog so I will try to do something that will tie into some future writings.

What’s to Come

For whatever reason I have never really been the type to blog. Largely because anytime I sit down to write something longer than a quick response or a tweet, I actually put thought and effort into whatever it is. As I have no delusions in regards to my notoriety, I always felt as if this effort would fall onto ears, not even deaf, but, nonexistent. However, recently a friend of mine showed me his blog that he seemed to update with a fairly good amount of consistency [http://sentrymeh.blogspot.com/]. Seeing his blog reignited my old desires to work on one of my own which brings us to this and my previous post.

Maybe Friendship Should Be Rare

Relationships, two people trying to give and take in harmony to share experiences together in the idea that this will be better than having that same set of experiences alone. But relationships require a lot of attention and work to stay healthy. Is this enhancement to an experience worth all the extra effort it requires to keep up a relationship and at what point does one start overlooking the experience itself due to paying more attention to keeping the relationship working? In this society we have been told that relationships are so important that we should even be willing to change for them. Change for them? To what extent? Where should the line be drawn? How much change can be made before a person is no longer themself? I know right now anyone reading this will think I am a cynic, but perhaps there is a large cynicism amongst people in regards to the prospects of finding others that could actually enjoy someone for who they are and not want them to change. Is trying to force a relationship to work not just a form of settling? Is this not just a relationship birthed out of pure convince?
